The Gambia
We needed to find somewhere nice and hot to go for a quick week break for Easter that was not too far from the UK shoreline. The Gambia came up trumps with its short 6 hour flight and same timezone as the UK. Oh, and the average 36 degrees of blistering sunshine it gave us every day.
Paradise Wildlife Park
Paradise Wildlife Park is an amazing place, took my wife here to feed the lions and tigers, what I hear you say? Feed the lions and tigers, yes I say. They are as far as I believe the only place in Europe where you can actually feed them (through the cage) and stroke their fur. Now before you go off on one and say how unfair this is and what an exploitation on the animals can I just get the point across that the park keepers here are all about looking after the animals in the best way possible.
